Blue Tansy Ultra Rich Moisturizer FAQ + Video

Introducing the brand new Blue Tansy Ultra Rich Moisturizer! Watch this video to learn more about this product and to see how it applies on the skin. We really think you're going to love this one!

Is this good for people with oily skin?

Any skin type can benefit from this formulation. If you have oily skin, it might be a product you want to incorporate at nighttime. During the daytime, using this instead of a serum may be best. Adjust the amount you use. Oily skin types may need to use much less than dryer skin types. Climate can play a big role too.

Does it have synthetic fragrance in it?

Nope!

When buying a HIGH QUALITY cream for the face, ALWAYS look for one WITHOUT ADDED Mineral Oil, Synthetic Fragrances, Sulfates, Detergents, Parabens, Urea, DEA, TEA or Phthalates. Our Blue Tansy Moisturizer is free from all additives just mentioned.

What benefits does this offer to the skin?

  • We have received feedback from several ladies trying this product before it launches that it smooths the skin and plumps fine lines.
  • Extremely hydrating - created to draw moisture to itself and hold onto it.
  • Nourishing and refreshing - some experience a cooling effect after applying due to the camphor present inside the Blue Tansy EO
  • Calms red and inflamed skin.

What is the price range?

Around the same price per ounce as the serums (which range from $35-$42 per ounce) and Repair Cream (which is $40 for an ounce).

After we formulated ours, we were curious what other companies were charging for an HA "blue" cream similar to ours, and all the ones we found were about $100-$180 an ounce!

If you are wondering how we are able to offer ours for much less, it is because we cut out a lot of middle work by doing the hard work ourselves. We don't pay for advertising, we formulate it ourselves, we label the jars, and we fill it all in our own lab on site—handcrafted with love from us to you!

Is this an SPF?

Nope. It probably has an SPF of around 15.

Can I use this on combination/oily skin?

Yup! It's great for all skin types. Any type of skin could definitely use it at night time—a little goes a long way. During daytime, some skin types may only need this moisturizer and not a serum underneath it.

What step is this in my routine?

It depends on how many steps are in your routine. But here is what we recommend:

1. Cleanse - Clarifying Cleanser

2. Tone - Balancing Toner Mist

3. Serum - we have several to choose from: Awake Coffee Serum, Purifying Serum, or Firming Serum

4. Moisturizer - Blue Tansy Ultra Rich Moisturizer or the Repair Cream

5. SPF or Balm - Daydream SPF or Sweet Dreams Glow Balm

So this moisturizer would be step 4 if following the suggested steps above.

Does it have the same feeling as the Sweet Dreams Glow Balm?

Nope. It is not a balm. It has liquid added to it and the formulation is very different. Regardless of the temp outside, the Blue Tansy Moisturizer glides on the skin without having to be warmed up. If you have normal to oily skin and use it during the day, it will give your skin a healthy dewey look. If you have dryer skin, you most likely will use a bit more and it may soak in quicker than someone with normal skin. Due to the HA and other humectants, it will draw moisture to itself. So if you live in a humid area, expect some of that moisture in the air to be drawn to your skin.

How long does a jar last?

It depends on how often one uses it and how much. I would say anywhere from 6-12 weeks. The shelf life is a year.

What does it smell like?

Depends on who you ask.. we have had ladies say it smells herbal, fruity, floral, and earthy. IMO, it smells fruity like mango, and the blue tansy adds an herbal, mild wildflower scent.

What does it feel like?

Silky, smooth, dewey. It lays on the skin differently than our Repair Cream. You can definitely tell the Blue Tansy Moisturizer has humectants in it like hyaluronic acid and flaxseed glycerin. It draws moisture to itself and holds it as well. Lots of ladies who have tried it notices it plumps their fine lines, likely because it draws moisture to itself.

Is this cream a day or night product?

It depends on your skin type and how you layer your products. Some ladies may only wear it at night, while others may find their skin needs the extra moisture boost during the day too. Skin type, weather, and climate can all play roles in what one's skin needs.

Is this a resurfacing moisturizer?

No. It is not an AHA (chemical exfoliant) or BHA. Our Blue Tansy Cream would be considered an HA cream - but really is so much more than just that. Hyaluronic acid helps skin stretch and flex and reduces skin wrinkles and lines, whereas AHA more so buffs away dead skin cells. We recommend sticking to using one of our gentle exfoliants, like our Coffee Polish, for that.

I am beyond 40! My skin is not what it used to be like in my 20s and 30s… What do you recommend?

Our skin changes a lot as we mature. I would suggest layering your products. Do NOT stop at a serum. Use our Firming Serum and then our Blue Tansy Cream on top. Do not forget your SPF during the day. Your SPF would be put on after your cream and is your last step.
