Daydream Mineral Sunscreen
Finally, a MINERAL-based facial sunscreen free from coconut oil and nut oils!
This sunscreen balm is packed with nourishing, antioxidant-rich ingredients that won't leave your skin with a white sheen.
Many ladies tell us this product replaces their primer because it fills their pores so well!
If you do not like the dewey look balms can give, we suggest lightly brushing on our Revive Clay Mask over this product - it does a great job giving the product more of a matte look without covering up or adding any color to the skin.
Benefits:
- Babassu oil is deeply moisturizing, soothing and softening the skin and making this product suitable for dry and sensitive skin types.
- Raspberry seed oil is rich in antioxidants - including vitamin E - which protect the skin from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. It also has protective properties against the sun and improves skin elasticity and firmness.
- Pomegranate seed oil promotes collagen production and has anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties, improving skin elasticity and reducing wrinkles and fine lines.
- Blackberry seed oil improves skin tone and texture.
How to use
This is the last step in your skincare regimen. It acts as a balm, so it is to be put on over any moisturizers as it will lock in whatever is applied before it.
Start with a pea-sized amount on tip of fingers (make sure fingers are clean so as not to transfer bacteria into the container). Rub fingers together to warm up product.
Apply onto face and neck in one thin layer. A little goes a long way! Reapply as needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the SPF rating?
I do not have the equipment to scientifically measure levels of SPF. However, through all of the research I have done, I can tell you that this sunscreen has an SPF of at least 20, probably higher. This is a broad spectrum sunscreen and will provide protection from both UVA and UVB sun rays.
Did you know that a higher SPF number does not really mean more effective coverage? Really, it’s true! Do a quick search on Google Scholar! I have learned that SPF protection does not increase proportionally to an increase in SPF. For example, an SPF of 2 absorbs 50% of UV rays, an SPF of 15 absorbs 93%, and an SPF of 34 absorbs 97% of UV rays. Interesting, right?
Several articles claim that handcrafted mineral sunscreens are harmful. Their reasoning is that you can’t verify the SPF of homemade sunscreens, so the chance of burning is higher.
I certainly agree that my handcrafted sunscreen does not have the lab testing that conventional ones do, but you know what else they don’t have? Endocrine disruptors, horrible inactive ingredients, fragrances made from who knows what, and coral-killing compounds!
How long should this product last me?
It depends on how much you use. If you use it just on your face, neck, and décolleté area, one container usually lasts around 2-3 months.
Is this waterproof?
Not to swim in a pool all day. You will definitely want to reapply it. The beeswax does add a protective water-resistant barrier, but there are no artificial chemicals in this product to cause it to stick to the skin.
What is the shelf life?
Since we do not use artificial preservatives, the shelf life is about 6-9 months if stored properly and not contaminated by dirty fingers being dipped into it. Do not store in a hot place. In a medicine cabinet and out of direct sunlight is best. If you happen to leave it in your mailbox during summer for too long, do not open it - put it in the fridge for about 20 minutes, then open and apply. There are no artificial solidifiers in it, so it can become soft. If after 6 months, it starts to smell off or the consistency changes, it is time to buy another one.
